Kithruwan's investigation swept under the carpet

Kithruwan 410px 30-08-14A conspiracy is reportedly underway to sweep the investigation regarding young cricketer Kithruwan Vithanage under the carpet.

The said investigation was to be conducted with regard to Kithruwan Vithanage disappearing with a female secretary attached to Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) in a night during the first test match against Pakistan held at Galle.

It has been reported that the investigation is to be thus avoided as the said secretary has had affairs with almost all cricket authorities including the Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage.

Furthermore she has been recruited as a SLC secretary upon recommendation of the Sports Minister, reports say.

The situation with regard to the investigation has been justified by convincing that it was a story made up by SLC Media Manager Rajith Fernando.

Rajith burdened with Secretary’s sins

The head of the disciplinary committee which investigates the allegation against Kithruwan is Palitha Kumarasinghe.

According to SLC internal sources, arrangements have been made to inform the Executive Committee by a report compiled by Palith Kumarasinghe indicating that in an email sent to him by Kithruwan he has stated that he left the hotel uninformed to participate in a Pirith event and that he did not meet the secretary during the visit.

However, it is said that Palitha's report is to point out that the SLC Media Manager Rajith Fernando has made up the particular story and a disciplinary inquiry should be conducted regarding it.

Rajith has revealed the matter in public at the media room during the Test match between Sri Lanka and Pakistan, reports say.
