Speaking at a media briefing of the United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA) yesterday (Sep. 15), minister of Environment and Renewable Energy, Susil Premajayantha said thus while responding to journalists on this regard.

Could shake up regimes

Meanwhile, addressing an energy forum in Colombo yesterday, minister Patalie Champika Ranawaka said that this project should not end up in the hands of foreigners and one should not forget that issues involving the power and energy sector are capable of shaking up powerful regimes.

The Minister also pointed out that the country should act with a 'clear vision' when it comes to the energy sector.
