Ranil W 410px 02-10-13The owner of Sirasa media network R. Rajamahendran from yesterday has reinitiated attacking United National Party (UNP) utilizing his electronic media forcing UNP to offer deputy leadership of the party to Sajith Premadasa.

The time period given by R. Rajamahendran to Ranil Wickremesinghe to appoint Sajith Premadasa as the deputy leader of the party has ended on Sunday.

However, Ranil Wickremesinghe has not been subjected to Sirasa attack and the target of Rajamahendran is the members of the UNP Leadership Council, except for UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake and Ravi karunanayake.

Tiran Alle's 'Mawbima' newspaper revealed in the weekend that the new plan introduced by UNP to win the Uva provincial council election has stopped then and there and though the initial plan was to implement the plan through appointing Sajith Premadasa as the deputy leader UNP MPs Karu Jayasuriya, Mangala Samaraweera, Ravi Karunanayake and Ruwan Wijerwardene have objected it.

Meanwhile, the internal sources of UNP headquarters report that Tiran Allas has agreed to extend the time period given to Ranil Wickremesinghe to appoint Sajith Premadasa as the UNP deputy leader by few more days.
