Ranil sad 410px 22-10-12As Mr. Ranil Wickremesinghe had not preferred the the suggestion made by a couple of monks in the United Bhikku Front (UBF) about changing the official title of Mr. Wickremesinghe in to "senior leader", it has been suggested to by amended as the "chief incumbent" or the "Chief leader", reports say.

After many rounds of discussions that had been held between the representatives of the UBF, many matters have been solved except the official title that will be used call the UNP leader in the future.
Upon the scenario where Mr. Wickreresinghe has strongly rejected the idea of resigning,  it has been agreed only to change his official title. Along with that, it has also been agreed to appoint Mr. Karu Jayasuriya as the chairman of the "leadership council" as well.
It is Mr. Malik Samarawickrama, a former chairman of the UNP, who has coordinated the discussions with the UBF in order to come to a common ground regarding the proposals brought in by the monks.
accordingly, the 2nd and final round of tripartite discussion between Ranil, Karu and Sajith is scheduled to be held next Monday (04) and the final conclusions ill be presented to the UNP working committee meeting which will be held in the evening on the same day, insider sources of the UNP say.
Meanwhile, The Sirasa media network has announced to the Sri Lankan public, that the time period given by the UBF for Mr. Ranil Wickremesinghe to execute the agreed proposals including his resignation, has expired from midnight yesterday (29).
According to Sirasa, the UBF states that Mr. Ranil Wickremesinghe had given his consent to the proposals made by their organization, during the discussion held on the 15th.
Sirasa further states that the adviser of the UBF Ven. Girambe Anada thero has forwarded a letter to the UNP leader regarding his failure to execute the proposals brought in by the UBF.
